European Free Zone

EFZ, in which there is export to 170 different countries, hosts 150 companies as domestic and foreign and 3.000 employees from many parts of the world, and has the 4th rank among 19 free zones in terms of trade volume in accordance with the data of 2012 with a trade volume of 2.182.911.556 $ in the period of 11 months in 2013. As a result of the completion of %90 of land sales in EFZ which aims the first rank among the free zones with10 billion dollars trade volume, 20.000 employment and 2 billion dollars investment rate by 2023, significant progress has been made in studies to establish a new free zone in Thrace region.

With the increase of needs in parallel with the ongoing factory constructions, infrastructure and superstructure investments and landscaping works are conducted as well. Some of these are construction of a new building for Customs Brokerage offices that give services to the companies in free zone, and construction of a new weigh-bridge to reduce the intensity in input-output operations of commercial vehicles.
